Helen Keller said, “what we have once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” In the year of 2020, Covid, and massive destruction from fire, we all know there’s tremendous loss and grief happening right now. Loss of loved ones and loved things is truly devastating; beyond words really. I’m sure we have all felt it to one degree or another. The only solace we have is the knowledge and memory of what was… what was special about a person, or what makes you love or care about something so much that when you think of that person, pet, place, thing, or event, you can’t help but turn that frown upside down. It’s a not so gentle reminder that we truly only have today, this moment, to be, to live, to feel, to exist. But when you think about it, our reflection, our memory of people, or times, or things we have loved… they will be with us always. Because all that we love deeply, becomes a part of us.
